What does "Customs Clearance" mean?

Modified on Thu, 2 Nov, 2023 at 7:34 PM

"Customs Clearance" refers to the process of having your shipment reviewed and approved by customs authorities in the destination country. It involves verifying the contents, assessing duties/taxes, and ensuring compliance with import regulations. There may be instances where clearing customs may take a longer time due to the parcel breaching the local customs policies on prohibited/restricted items. You can find out more about the local customs prohibited/restricted goods here

It could take some time for the parcel status to change as it is heavily dependent on the processes required by the local authorities. We are unable to dictate on how quick their processing time should be, but we are able to check with them on what's required to clear the parcel from customs to assist them with the process.
